Assignment #3
Write a short essay on the relationship between language-use and the formation of identity. Feel free to focus on any aspect of identity that you would like (race, class, gender, or any other!). Make sure to discuss with specific examples, how different kinds of linguistic practices are used in the construction of different kinds of identities. In your essay, make sure to engage with at least 3 of the readings we have covered in class thus far.

Word Limit: 750-1000 words
